SourceRainbow trout bring fly fishers to Badger Lake, near Heffley, rising to the sedge hatch in June and to chironomid and mayfly hatches in spring. There are two boat launches and a fishing dock.
The 26 sites are first come, first served at $15 a night, on gravel.
Whispering Pines 4 is about 10 km away and the nearest fuel, an Esso, is about 14 km, so top up while you are still on the highway. Little Badger Lake is under a kilometre from camp, and Sun Peaks Bike Park, about 25 km off, runs 44 trails.
