About this site
SourceLower Nation Falls is a day-use stop in the Mackenzie area: a parking area and a short trail out to a view of the falls. The drop is more rapid than waterfall, but it moves serious water when the river is high, and there are large pools below it.
The site is user-maintained with gravel access, and it is set up for visits rather than overnight stays. Hiking is the listed activity and nothing else is on record.
Mackenzie is about 35 km away for supplies, with the nearest fuel, a Co-op, about 33 km out. Head Lake sits roughly 13 km from the parking area.
