About this site
SourceHelen Lake gives you a semi-open forest camp on the shore of a small lake near Houston, with a treed hillside across the water that turns colour in the fall. The site is listed as accessible.
There are 6 sites, first come, first served, on gravel, with a boat launch and swimming off the shore. Bears, moose and deer feed in the area, so keep food locked in the vehicle and the site clean.
Houston is about 10 km away with an Esso the same distance, so shopping and fuel are quick. The lake is about 0.5 km from camp, and Houston's 21 mountain bike trails are about 10 km off.
