SourceFrancois West puts a few open campsites at the western end of Francois Lake, on the southern shoreline, with a beach of gravel and sand right at the water. Boating, swimming and fishing are what people come for.
The 3 sites are first come, first served. The road in is narrow, brushy and rough in places, which rules it out for most trailers and larger RVs.
Noralee is about 4.5 km away. Fuel is the catch: the nearest is roughly 42 km off at Takysie Lake, so arrive with a full tank. Ferguson Lake sits about 8 km away and Owen Hat about 10 km.
