About this site
SourceCamping beside the Squamish River, a long way up the road from town and close to Ashlu Creek. It is tents rather than rigs: nine tent areas with tables, fire rings and two outhouses, first come, first served, on gravel.
Both black bears and grizzlies use this valley. Food and anything that smells goes in the vehicle, and everything you bring leaves with you. Fishing and a swim in the river are why most people make the drive.
The Sigurd Creek Trail toward Crooked Falls starts about 2 km away and Anderson Beach is about 4 km. Squamish itself is about 26 km back down the road, with fuel at about 21 km and 293 mountain bike trails in town, so buy everything before you drive up.
