SourceLevette Lake trades an easy drive for mountain views over the water. The road up is rough and 4x4 only, and once you are there the swimming and the walking are what fill the day.
Nine sites, first come, first served, at $18 a night per vehicle or group of six. Black bears visit this lake often, so food and coolers go in the vehicle, and there is no garbage pickup, so whatever you carry in comes back out with you.
The nearest Petro-Canada is about 9 km away and Squamish about 15 km, which is also where the 293 trail network starts. Brohm Lake day use is roughly 4 km off, the Alice Lakes trailhead about 8 km, Evans Lake about 2.5 km, and Anderson Beach a similar distance.
