SourceFry Trestle faces Orchard Meadow Recreation Site across the channel, on the Sayward Forest canoe route in the Campbell River area, and it gives you two camps to pick from: one by the lake, one along the creek.
Both are first come, first served on gravel, with a boat launch and fishing on Fry Lake right below.
Duncan Bay is about 22 km out and a Shell about 21 km, so do the shopping on the way in. The Trout Creek Falls trail on Mohun Creek is roughly 13 km away, and Campbell River's 277 mountain bike trails about 22 km.
