About this site
SourceA sandy beach shows up at low water at this small stop on the Sayward Forest Canoe Route, near Campbell River. There is a boat launch and fishing, and swimming off the beach, though snags in the lake are worth watching for.
There are 8 sites, first come, first served, at $18 a night, reached by gravel road. Pack out everything you carry in.
Fry Lake is about 2 km along. Duncan Bay is roughly 20 km out for supplies and the nearest fuel about 19 km, so arrive with a full tank. The Trout Creek Falls trailhead on the Mohun Creek Trail is about 12 km away, and Campbell River's 277 mountain bike trails are about 20 km off.
