About this site

Source

The remains of an old railway trestle stand in the scenery at Gray Lake, and a portage trail for the Sayward Forest Canoe Route runs through the site, so expect paddlers passing on their way to the next lake. Swimming access is good.

The 6 sites go for $18 a night, first come, first served, on gravel, with a place to put a boat in. This one sees use all year, not only in summer.

Duncan Bay is about 23 km out and the Shell about 22 km, which makes one stop for both. The lake is about 0.7 km from camp, the Trout Creek Falls trail about 13 km, and Campbell River, with 277 mountain bike trails, about 23 km.
