About this site
SourceThe sand is the point at Stella Beach. It is a proper swimming beach in the Campbell River area, and more small beaches are scattered around the lake for anyone willing to poke around by boat.
There are 12 sites, first come, first served, with a boat launch and gravel access. It is user maintained, so nobody is coming behind you with a truck for the garbage.
The fishing is said to be best in spring and fall. Blind Channel is about 14 km away and the nearest gas about 30 km out, so arrive fuelled and stocked. Lower Stella Lake sits about 4 km off.
