About this site
SourceThe walk to Margaret Falls is what most people know Herald Provincial Park for, a short self-guided route inside a park of 79 hectares that mixes beach with forested upland above it. Swimming, fishing and bird watching fill the rest of the day, and there is a boat launch and a large day-use area.
The park lists 128 frontcountry sites, with reservations on some and first come, first served on the rest, on paved roads, with fire pits, pit toilets and drinking water.
Balmoral is about 3.2 km away and a Chevron the same distance, which keeps errands short. Santabin Lake is about 2.1 km out and the Shuswap area's 173 mountain bike trails about 19 km.
