About this site
SourceBamberton Provincial Park is built around 225 m of sandy beach and famously inviting water, looking east across the inlet to the Saanich Peninsula, the southern Gulf Islands and Mt. Baker beyond. Victoria is about a 30 minute drive south, close enough that the beach fills on good weekends.
About 53 sites are listed in the forest above the beach, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved access. Eagles and osprey circle overhead, seals work the water, and in June school groups arrive to study the intertidal life.
Mill Bay is about 6 km away for fuel and supplies, and the McKenzie Bight trailhead sits about 7 km off.
