About this site
SourceGoldstream Provincial Park packs 600-year-old Douglas firs, waterfalls and a river that runs out to the sea into a valley just 16 km from downtown Victoria. For a park this close to a city, it feels a long way from one.
The campground lists 173 sites, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved road, with potable water, pit toilets and fire pits. Trails cross two distinct vegetation zones, and the Gold Mine trailhead starts 300 m from camp. Swimming, hiking and biking cover most moods.
Being this close to town has practical upsides: gas is 2 km away and the Langford riding area, 14 trails of it, is about 4 km, so restocking never eats an afternoon.
