About this site
SourceAn ocean side camp on Saltspring Island looking out over Sansum Narrows, this one is part of the Marine Trail Network and there is no fee to stay. The single group site has room for three or four tents.
Reaching it is the catch. The campsite is water access, which is how paddlers use it, and the land route on record is four-wheel drive only. Camping is first come, first served.
Cowichan Bay is about 6 km away for supplies. Rosemurgy Lake is roughly 4 km off, the Stoney Hill trailhead about 5 km and Cobble Hill about 9 km. Further out, Bonanza Bluffs is about 12 km, the Kinsol Trestle Trail about 14 km, and Cowichan's 149 mountain bike trails about 13 km.
