SourceChisel Lake is a mountain lake in the Wells area with a handful of campsites and a boat launch, which makes it a straightforward fishing stop rather than a destination in its own right.
There are 3 spots, first come, first served, on gravel. Atan Lake is about 2 km back along the same road, which makes the two easy to combine on one trip.
Barkerville is about 16 km away, and the Wells Service Station sits about 16 km out as well, so supplies and fuel come from the same direction. The Goat River trailhead is about 19 km off.
