About this site
SourcePurden Lake Provincial Park sits east of Prince George on the north shore of Purden Lake, ringed by the Cariboo Mountains and the Rockies. The forested upland opens up at the waterfront, where the shoreline is made for slow strolls and swims.
About 78 sites are listed, some reservable and some first come, first served, on paved access. The lake is stocked every year with kokanee and rainbow trout, and people fish it well from the docks by the boat launch or from spots along the lakeside trail.
Come provisioned: Sinclair Mills is about 18 km away and the nearest listed fuel is about 40 km, so this is a fill-up-in-Prince-George trip.
