About this site
SourceRuckle Provincial Park holds the southeast corner of Salt Spring Island, and the camping is the kind people cross on ferries for: tents pitched in a grassy meadow above Swanson Channel, watching boats and ferries slide past. Seven kilometres of shoreline break into rocky headlands, coves and tide pools full of starfish, crab and sculpin.
About 86 sites are listed, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, with paved access. Sea lions and killer whales pass offshore, and mink and river otters work the shoreline. Forest, field and shore make it one of Salt Spring's best wildlife-watching corners.
