About this site
SourceSowchea Bay Provincial Park started life as a forestry campsite on Stuart Lake, and it kept the best habit of that era: most of the campsites sit right next to the water.
About 30 sites are listed, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved access, with a boat launch, swimming, fishing, hiking and biking on hand plus the usual pit toilets, potable water and fire pits.
Fort St. James is about 13 km away for supplies, with the nearest listed fuel about 9 km, so the drive out for forgotten items stays short.
