About this site
SourceLockhart Beach Provincial Park provides the only easy public camping access on the south arm of Kootenay Lake, about 40 km north of Creston. A sand and fine-gravel beach fronts the clear water, with the adjacent Lockhart Creek park running from the shore up to the creek's headwaters.
The campground lists 18 sites, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved access, with swimming, fishing, hiking, biking and a boat launch.
Boswell is about 6 km away, though the nearest listed fuel is about 11 km, so arrive topped up and let the lake set the schedule.
