About this site
SourceThe boat launch is the reason to pick Sprague Bay. BC Hydro built it, it works at any water level, and it handles larger boats. Swimming happens off the same shore.
The site is user maintained, with 11 first come, first served sites, and the road in is rated 4x4, so bring a vehicle that can handle it. A short hiking trail of about 600 metres runs from camp to the historic Boat Encampment Monument.
Mica Creek is about 12 km away. The nearest fuel is a Petro-Canada roughly 56 km out, so fill up long before the turnoff.
