About this site
SourceMud Lake West is a semi-open site with basic facilities and a good outlook, close to Blue River. Two things are worth knowing before you point a vehicle down the access road: it can flood in high water, and there is no turnaround inside the site for anything large.
With that said, it is a 2 site spot, first come, first served, with a boat launch, and four-wheel drive is the sensible choice for the road in. Fishing is the main activity.
Blue River is about 5 km away with fuel at about the same distance, which makes this one of the easier small sites to resupply from. Eleanor Lake is about 4 km off.
