About this site
SourceJonas Creek meets the Telkwa River just below this semi-open forested site near Telkwa, in the Smithers area. The Telkwa is a headwater system for salmon and steelhead, which tells you what the fishing is about.
There are 5 sites, first come, first served, on gravel access, sized for tents, small RVs and trailers rather than anything long. Hunters use the area as well.
Smithers is about 25 km away and covers supplies, while the nearest fuel is a commercial cardlock at roughly the same distance, so town is the practical stop. Smithers also has 43 mountain bike trails, and Aldrich Lake is about 17 km off.
