About this site
SourceA cirque lake at the head of a glaciated valley, White Boar Lake has the wall of Mount McKay rising to 2665 m above it and a remnant glacier at the far end. For a two-site campground, the setting does most of the work.
Getting there needs a 4x4, and both spots are first come, first served. Fishing is the main activity once you are parked.
Old Town is about 28 km away and the nearest fuel about 31 km, so the tank should be full before you start up the road. Mayo Lake is under 2 km off.
