About this site
SourceHiking is the whole reason to come to Grassy Hut, in the Nelson area, up a gravel road with the Kootenay Mountaineering Club as the place to check for current details on the hut itself.
Camping is first come, first served with room for two, and nothing further is on record, so plan to be self-sufficient.
Thrums is about 10 km away and Grady Lake roughly 2 km. The South Slocan trailhead is about 19 km off, Barrett Lake and its cabin around 12 km, Saddle Cabin about the same, and Castlegar's mountain bike network about 13 km.
