SourceTwo rivers of different colours meet here, the Chilko and the Taseko, and that junction is the reason to make the drive out from Alexis Creek. The fishing follows from it.
The site lies within the proven title lands of the Tsilhqot'in and Xeni Gwet'in First Nation, so check with the Nation for current access before you set out. Five sites, first come, first served, and the road in wants four wheel drive.
Redstone is about 14 km away and the Tsideldel gas station and general store about 24 km. That is where you fuel up.
