About this site

Source

A small lake with an island in it, a marshy shore and a mud bottom: Caribou Lake near Nakusp is canoe and cartop boat country rather than anything with a big motor on the back.

The site fits 3 camping parties around a semi-open clearing with tables, first come, first served, reached on gravel road. The layout suits one family or a small group taking the whole place, and the fishing is what most people are here for.

East Arrow Park is about 17 km away, with a Canco at roughly the same distance for fuel, so come provisioned. Larson Lake is about 6 km off, and the Saddle Mountain fire lookout about 12 km if you want somewhere to walk to.
