SourceA user-maintained gravel site in the Cassidy area, Spruston Staging Area is the sort of pull-in that works as a base rather than a destination in itself.
Camping is first come, first served on gravel access, and nothing is on record for facilities, so what you carry in is what you have. Treat it as a place to park and sleep between rides.
South Forks is about 2.8 km away and a Tempo station about 6.6 km, so town runs are short. Blind Lake sits about 3 km off, and Nanaimo's 393 mountain bike trails start about 12 km away, which is the real reason to be here.
