SourceEagle Pass Ridge is a big piece of country in the Revelstoke area, with trails that climb through timbered slopes into subalpine and alpine terrain and finish at an old federal fire lookout. The tower itself is not safe to go inside, so treat it as a landmark to walk to rather than shelter.
Access is four-wheel drive only and use is first come, first served, user-maintained, with no site count on record. This is grizzly habitat: store food properly and make noise on the trail.
Malakwa is about 23 km away and the Big Eddy Market about 24 km, so the fuel stop belongs at the start of the day. Perry Lake is about 9 km off and Revelstoke's 204 mountain bike trails about 25 km.
