About this site
SourceA dam on site holds back Reservoir Lake near Merritt, so the water level can move around. The site is at the north end, and fishing is the main reason to make the drive, with hunting close behind.
Access decides this one: the road wants a high-clearance 4x4, and the sites suit tents or small camper units rather than trailers. There is room for 4 parties, first come, first served.
The Elkhart Gas Station is about 9 km away and Bankeir about 23 km. Walker Lake sits about 2 km off if you want a second lake to fish.
