About this site
SourceHigh and open at 1485 m, Boot Lake sits on the southeast shore of its lake in the Merritt area. Fishing and hunting bring people up, and the site makes no attempt at comfort.
Getting there is the hard part: the road is rough, 4x4 territory, and no place for an RV or a large trailer. There are 4 sites, first come, first served, with the water about 0.4 km away.
The Elkhart Gas Station is the nearest fuel at roughly 8 km, closer than the nearest town, Aspen Grove, at about 21 km. Fuel there and carry the rest in with you.
