SourceNoisy Creek Recreation Site holds the north end of Mabel Lake, with sandy beaches, good swimming and a well-earned popularity with families and younger crowds. A trail follows Noisy Creek from the site, about 45 minutes of walking.
The site has 60 first come, first served sites at $18 a night, reached on gravel road, with a boat launch onto the lake.
This end of the lake is a long way from services. Swansea Point, the closest listed community, is about 25 km away, so arrive with fuel, food and everything else already sorted.
