About this site
SourceA medium-sized rec site with the water right below it, James Lake is a fishing camp close in to Kelowna rather than a long haul up a forest road.
There are 7 sites, first come, first served, reached on gravel, with a boat launch. The site is user maintained, so the shape it is in depends on who came through before you.
Ellison is about 8 km away and the Canco about 10 km, so neither errand is a trek. The Postill trailhead parking sits about 5 km off, and Kelowna, with 303 mountain bike trails, about 19 km.
