About this site
SourceRoom for an RV is the useful thing about Chapman Lake. Several of the sites take trailers and larger groups, and the boat launch is a wide gravel one rather than a squeeze. It sits on the south shore in the Smithers area.
There are 11 sites, first come, first served, semi-forested, with a land-based dock and gravel access. The lake holds several fish species, and the dock gets used by people who never put a boat in.
The nearest gas is about 33 km away, with Old Fort about 27 km, so make the fuel stop part of the plan. Tanglechain Lake is about 9 km away.
