SourceRainbow trout are what bring people to Takysie Lake, and the camping sits right beside the water with a gravel boat launch to put a boat in.
The 11 sites are open rather than treed, and they are split across two areas signed A and B, about half a kilometre apart. All of them are first come, first served, on gravel.
Supplies are unusually easy for a rec site: the Takysie Lake Store and Resort, less than a kilometre away, is also the nearest fuel. Grassy Plains is about 6 km on, and Tatalrose Lake is about 12 km if you want to fish somewhere else.
