SourceRight on the roadside of Colleymount Road in the Burns Lake area, Government Point is about as easy to reach as rec sites get, and it has a boat launch onto Francois Lake. The open ground takes larger campers and trailers, which is not always true out here.
There are 5 sites, first come, first served, on gravel access, and the outhouse is accessible. Fishing and swimming both happen off the lake.
Grassy Plains is about 12 km away, and the nearest fuel, at Takysie Lake Store & Resort, is about 19 km out. Octopus Lake is about 5 km off, and Burns Lake, with 47 mountain bike trails, about 22 km.
