SourceAt the east end of Muchalat Lake, this large treed site has a boat ramp, a dock, a beach and a swimming area, so a whole day can go by without moving the vehicle. A host is on site from the May long weekend.
The recreation site lists 40 campsites, first come, first served at $18 a night, on a gravel road.
Gold River covers supplies at 13.2 km, with a Shell station at 13.1 km, so top up there rather than later. Upana Lake is 7.3 km away and the Upana Caves are 8.5 km, worth a stop if you packed a headlamp.
