SourceAn open grassy site above a pebble beach on the southwest side of Texada Island, Shingle Beach has some campsites back in the trees and others looking straight out at the water. Swimming off the beach is the main event.
There are 29 sites, first come, first served, at $20 a night, cash only, so do not count on tapping a card.
Lasqueti is about 10 km away, but the nearest fuel is about 24 km off, so fill the tank before you settle in. Angel Lake is about 5 km from camp, and Parksville, about 29 km away, has 142 mountain bike trails.
