About this site
SourceJedediah Island Marine Park fills most of one of the largest island parks in the province, set between Lasqueti and Texada islands in the Strait of Georgia. It is the biggest and most varied of a chain of more than 30 islands and islets, Douglas fir and arbutus over rocky outcrops, with old homestead traces in the clearings.
Boaters and kayakers come for the secluded bays and coves; camping pairs with fishing, swimming, hiking and a shoreline that rewards slow exploration. Expect pit toilets and fire pits, and full self-sufficiency otherwise.
Lasqueti is the nearest listed community at about 10 km and fuel about 21 km, so stage supplies from the bigger harbours before crossing.
