The lake is the reason to stop at Nimpkish Lake Recreation Site, a free campground on the water in the Woss area, reached on pavement.
Come provisioned. Telegraph Cove is about 24 km away and fuel at Woss about 27 km, so this is not a place to arrive low on gas or short on groceries. Tahsish Lake is about 11 km off if you want to see more water than the stretch out front.
