About this site
SourceCarp Lake Provincial Park has been famous for rainbow trout for generations, and it earns it: some of the best fishing in the Central Interior, two hours north of Prince George near the geographic middle of the province. The park takes in Carp Lake, War Lake, a string of smaller lakes, and the 8 km waterway that connects the two big ones.
Two campgrounds hold about 72 maintained sites, some reservable and some first come, first served. The main campground adds a picnic shelter, horseshoe pits and a playground, and Carp Lake's north shore runs to sandy beaches. Outside long weekends it is rarely full.
McLeod Lake and the nearest listed fuel are about 39 km away, so arrive with everything on board.
