About this site
SourceCathedral Provincial Park is where the wet Cascades meet the dry Okanagan: jagged peaks, turquoise lakes in granite settings, and alpine meadows scattered with flowers. The rock is the show here, from columnar basalt jumbles to huge wind-eroded quartz monzonite towers.
Camping is listed at about 23 sites, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, with wilderness camping beyond and hiking, climbing and fishing as the main pursuits. Scout Lake sits about 3 km off, and the Haystack Lakes are within a day's hike of the core area.
This is a committed trip: the park sits in the Keremeos area and the nearest listed fuel is about 26 km, so arrive with everything sorted.
