About this site
SourceCowichan River Provincial Park protects long stretches of a river with double heritage designation, provincial and national, and an international reputation for wild salmon and steelhead. The park works as a recreation corridor south of Duncan: swimming, canoeing, whitewater kayaking, fishing and hiking, strung along the water.
About 43 sites are listed, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved access. An old rail right-of-way beside the park carries cyclists, walkers and riders on horseback.
Sahtlam is about 9 km away with fuel about 11 km, and the Cowichan riding network, 149 trails, starts about 15 km off.
