About this site
SourceFillongley Provincial Park on the north side of Denman Island is a former English estate turned public park: George Beadnell settled here around the turn of the last century, built one of the loveliest properties in the Gulf Islands, and left it to the province. His old bowling green is now a flat grassy field that fills with wildflowers each spring, under imported deciduous trees that colour hard in fall.
Just 10 campsites sit along the ocean, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, with walking trails through old-growth cedar behind. It is small, and that is the point.
Fanny Bay, back across on Vancouver Island, is about 7 km; bring what you need to the island.
