About this site
SourceKikomun Creek Provincial Park sits in one of the driest, sunniest corners of the province, protecting open Douglas fir and ponderosa pine forest and grassland near Baynes Lake. The paved roads inside the park make it an easy place for kids on bikes.
Camping runs to about 170 sites, some reservable and some first come, first served. The usual provincial park kit is here: pit toilets, potable water, fire pits, a boat launch, swimming, fishing and hiking.
Baynes Lake, the nearest community, is under 3 km away, though the closest listed fuel is about 12 km, so top up on the way through. Fernie Alpine Bike Park is about 27 km off for a lift-served day out.
