About this site
SourceOkanagan Lake South is the southern of the park's two campgrounds and the one with the summer concession at its gatehouse. The setting is pure Okanagan: sand and pebble beaches, ponderosa pine, sagebrush, and a big lake with mountain skyline across it.
About 175 sites are listed here, some reservable and some first come, first served, reached on paved road. Days go to swimming, boating and fishing, with hiking and biking when the beach wears off. The far shore is Okanagan Mountain Park, reachable by boat or the long way around through Kelowna.
Supplies and gas are about 9 km away near Faulder, and the Smith Creek mountain bike trails sit about 17 km off toward West Kelowna.
