SourceAnglers use Calling Lake in the Merritt area as a base, often to fish nearby Big Ok, also called Island Lake, as much as the water at their feet. Hunting brings people up too.
The road in can be rough, so the access is rated 4x4. There are 4 sites, first come, first served, with the lake about 0.8 km from camp.
Pokheitsk is the nearest community at about 14 km, and the closest fuel, the Copper Valley Grocery & Gas, is roughly 21 km out. Make that your last stop before the rough road.
