About this site
SourceHigh in the hills near Vanderhoof, Laurie Lake Recreation Site is an open, roomy camp above a lake about 2 km long. Fishing is the reason most people make the drive.
The site lists 4 units on gravel access, first come, first served, with a boat launch for getting something small onto the water.
Nithi River is about 12 km away, and the nearest fuel, a Co-op, is roughly 19 km out, so fill up before you turn off the pavement. The Richard Cannon Way trailhead sits the same distance out, and Foster Lakes are about 16 km from camp.
