About this site
SourceYou carry your gear in here. The walk down to Bannock Point is about 700 m of moderately steep trail to the shore of Slocan Lake, and the reward is a camp on the water with swimming and a boat launch instead of a parking stall.
A 2024 upgrade set the layout: 12 campsites on the upper level and 22 closer to the water, 34 in all, first come, first served, with gravel access to the parking area.
Silverton is 4.1 km away and fuel is 7.7 km out at the Race Trac. The Idaho fire lookout is 8.3 km, Fishermaiden Lake 12.6 km, and the Slocan trailhead 18 km.
