About this site
SourceElk (Island) Lake splits into two camping areas near Mcleese Lake: a big grassy pasture under aspens, and a pair of designated sites closer to the water. The boat launch has been rebuilt as a ramp, so small boats on trailers can get in.
Four sites in total, first come, first served, on gravel roads, with fishing once you are set up.
Soda Creek is about 22 km away and the Sun Valley fuel stop is much the same distance, so one supply run covers both. Chambers Lake is roughly 12 km off.
