About this site
SourceSam's Folly Lake sits between two ponds near Radium Hot Springs, one secluded campsite and nothing else. Fishing is the point, with cartop launching and electric motors only on the water.
It is first come, first served, and user-maintained. The road is rough and narrow, high clearance is required for the last 2 km, and trailers are ruled out.
Edgewater and its Independent station are both about 10 km away, so supplies and fuel are a short errand rather than an expedition. Dogsleg Lake is roughly 5 km off, the Radium Wetlands about 11 km, the Redstreak Creek trailhead about 18 km, and the Columbia Valley's 78 mountain bike trails about 24 km.
